Eligibility for Purchase of Cars through CSD
As per the existing policy, the following categories of personnel are eligible to avail this facility.

• Special sanction of QMG branch has to be obtained before processing documents with CSD Depot only for special conditions.
• The existing entitlement of AFD-1 items of customers is as follows:
• Four wheelers (Cars): An entitled person based on his purchasing power will be entitled to purchase another car only after years and up to power as mentioned below:
• Officers(Incl. Retd.)& ( Widows Of Officers ): Four years and up to 2500 CC Capacity
• Hony Commissioned JCOs/OR & Equivalent ( Incl. Retd.): Seven years & up to 2500 CC capacity
• JCOs ( Incl. Retd.): Once while in service & once after retirement up to 1400CC capacity
• OR (Serving/Retd): Once while in service & once after retirement up to 1400cc capacity
• All GREF & Costal Guard Officers are also authorized cars through CSD.
• One of the parents of deceased or missing officers from border (Letter from Govt. of India (Ministry of Defense ) is the valid authority in this regard)
• Equivalent status civilian officers / officers of CSD who are authorized canteen facilities (only in Southern States)
• Short Service Commissioned officers, who are authorized canteen facilities, with 5 years or more
• services. EC Commissioned with less than 5 years service with sanction from QMG branch .In
• case of theft offices can purchase before expiry of 4 Years period, with sanction from QMG Branch.
